I've just sent this message to Paul, and have just realised that I may
not be able to see the reply, so here it is again!

Good evening, Paul,

I've just had another problem connecting to the pop server, and also
to the Orpheus website; Hermes times out at the logging in stage (it
does connect), and the website won't appear in NetSurf.

However, the mirror on your own site reports:

Your IP address is currently 213.218.226.171 connected to port 49397

Hope this serves to help you resolve this intermittent problem (it'll
probably be OK in a few minutes!).

With best wishes,

Peter.

And it indeed was; and the Orpheus status page (now accessible)
reports: Your IP address: 213.218.226.171 Using remote port: 49581

i.e. the same IP address but a different port. Does any of this make
sense? :-)

With best wishes,

Peter.

The port is irrelevant (which is why I removed it from the master status
page - I'll have to remove it from the backup too!), as it's only the IP
address which is important.

I shall investigate this. Unfortunately I was away this weekend (speaking
at a conference), which is about the first weekend 'off' I've had for about
18 months. However, I'll check the logs and make sure everything is running
smoothly now.

Thanks for this; as I mentioned, it was only a momentary interruption.
Normally I wouldn't have reported it, but as there had been the
previous problem I thought it better to mention it. All has worked as
excellently as usual thereafter.

With best wishes,

Peter.
