A question, that might have a simple answer!

Using !Bookmaker 2.12-1, (with which there is no problem
as it unfailingly works exaxtly as it says on the tin -
thanks, Nick, has anyone found a method of adding a page
displayed in !Netsurf to the !Bookmaker directory/page
list?

Having had a look at !Bookmaker.Preferences, I notice
that there's a 'shared' option in the browser pref list.
Would this be the setting when using 'new' browsers such
as !Netscape and !Firefox?

Last question:

Regarding !Firefox I notice that Peter Naulls (and Druck?),
seem to suggest that Peter's Firefox v1.5 works with
Risc OS 4.xx. Anybody know the URL for picking that version
up, or have I just lost the plot somewhere... ;))

(..and yes, I know that's better asked in csa - but, just
a thought while I'm asking browser questions)!

Many thanks.. :))

I generally try to keep http://www.riscos.org/links/ as up to date as
possible and it should have both versions of Firefox listed.

Firefox 1.5 should be available from
http://www.riscos.info/unix/downloads/browser/firefox/

Thanks for that, Paul.. :))

Which one of downloads do I need, please? It's showing
as Firefox:

-beta1, -beta2, -beta3, -beta4, and -beta5-WIP,
-2iyonix-rl and 2-r2

I guess the second list isn't the one ..or is it?!
(I wasn't paying attention when it was mentioned
a while ago as !Fresco, for me, rarely ever drops
out and mostly continues to be successful, even in
the Voyager release that I use..

Cheers.. :))

The second list only work on the Iyonix (or A9), so you want the first list
and beta5 is the latest version. The earlier ones are older versions.

..hehehe!

It might be easier just to go buy a PC World M$oft!
Probably cheaper ..and not as taxing on the techie
intelligence.. ;))

..just tried to extract the -beta5 download and met
up with innumerable, "name not recognised", errors
- most seemingly involving an 'email @', although
there were others...

..ah well. There's nothing like loading up a
camel........

THe only Way I've worked out of doing it is to use Menu, then

Page->Save Location->Text and drag the icon to the BookMaker window. BM
will then open a dialog for you to enter the title, and you're away.

It would be nicer to accept the ANT URL and/or Acorn URI icons (which
include the title, so no dialog box, but for some reason BookMaker
won't read them if they are dropped directly from NetSurf to BookMaker
(although it works fine if you drag them from NetSurf to a filer, then
drag the file to BookMaker).

I do have NetSurf support on the wish-list for BookMaker, and have had
for about 6 months, but unfortunately it's difficult finding enough
spare time to look at it (I suspect it will be quite a major piece of
work).

Yep.. thanks, Nick. Works a treat and as easily.
I think I was just being lazy - used to !Fresco
which cooperates with !Bookmaker by a button press.

Point is, it can be made to work and works well
without much trouble.. :))

mmm... would it be really worth the pain? As you say
there is a simple way of doing it via menu. Anything
else might be nice, but not essential. It all works
so well anyway - and thank you for that! :))
