All is definitely working at 11:39am on Sunday 23rd.

What response to you get if you type *ping smtp.orpheusnet.co.uk in a task
window, whilst online?

Also, what's your own IP address (www.orpheusnet.co.uk/status/ at the top)

It is now about 2.40 pm Sunday afternoon.

I have exactly the same problem. It started without warning some time
yesterday afternoon/evening I suppose, because some mails yesterday went
OK. Since then NOTHING will send, whatever I dare to try.

I have tried to connect six times now, if I recall correctly since
yesterday afternoon, with News and Email receipt working well. This will
be a try at a News send. Interesting to see if it goes!

I've rebooted, added extra emails to Voyager's list, left the
connection on for a looong time, tried to look for help somewhere, but I
guess that weekends are not a good time.

When (if) you get this the problem will have been resolved, but you
/must/ believe me that it is really happening for reasons unknown. A
very real pain, actually because I have some important stuff to send to
correspondents in distant parts that needs to arrive soon.

Hope you can think of an explanation. I can't of course.

Cheers,

Robin

P.S. Cheque from SSS for argonet connection going this afternoon, so
will probably reach you on Tuesday :-)

Yep. We've tracked down a rogue block of IP addresses which weren't in our
firewall rules for some reason. They've now been added and all should be
working normally. Please contact me if still having problems.

This is in the nature of a trial, because I am again totally unable to
send emails. Thus a check with a News posting.

Sorry about this noise, but it is beginning to get annoying! I just
hope that it behaves this time.

I've tried to email Paul, but no joy there. Maybe the trick he used
last time (see above) will work :-)

Cheers,

Robin

Please ignore!! This was sorted weeks ago and the message never sent:
heaven knows how or why it suddenly reappeared.
