Hi,

I always think that any "troubles" that I get with internet must be
something I've done, or not, as the case may be.

However, this evening I don't /think/ I've done anything silly but after
Authentication I just get a string of "Can't resolve
pop.orpheusnet.co.uk" and "Can't resolve fleece.argonet.co.uk" messages
followed immediately by "Closing down". Have tried a few times already.

Am I alone, or is there really a temporary problem? You won't read this
until it's been "Resolved" of course!

Maybe there's a telephone breakdown somewhere, though not this end.

Cheers,

Robin

It sounds like something within your copy of Voyager is corrupt or has lost
its settings.

For a start you shouldn't be using fleece.argonet.co.uk, which is the old
deceased Argonet news server. You should be using news.orpheusnet.co.uk for
news fetching. You can set this in the Preferences->News choices.

If you can't resolve pop.orpheusnet.co.uk it implies that your resolver
module has failed in somehow or the name servers are not being recognised.

Do you have a network card fitted in the machine? Are any of the RISC OS
Network settings setup (in !Boot -> Networking)? If so, Voyager can cause a
clash which can cause problems.

Nope. no problems at the moment. I'm logged in here monitoring things and
have been most of the day.
